Quote of the Week–October 21st

Writing The Books We Like

“Thank goodness I was never sent to school; it would have rubbed off some of the originality.”

– Beatrix Potter

We are all convinced that being homeschooled was very important in developing our own writing styles and voices. We never had English teachers to tell us how we ought to think about books, or peers to tell us which ones we should like. We read and write purely the kind of books we enjoy.
