Quote of the Month–November 2014

Writing The Books We Like

Keep a notebook. Travel with it, eat with it, sleep with it. Slap into it every stray thought that flutters up into your brain. Cheap paper is less perishable than gray matter, and lead pencil markings endure longer than memory.

– Jack London

If you could see our desks, you would realize that here at the Sibling Writery we are firm believers in London’s philosophy in the value of notebooks. From where I’m sitting as I write this, there are no less than seven notebooks within reach–and that’s without even opening a drawer! Don’t lose those fleeting ideas–get them down on paper.
